About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Proposal Engineer to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a Proposal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and managing proposals for Gas Turbine or Steam Turbine auxiliary systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, consult, and negotiate proposals with external customers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Negotiate contracts that align with business objectives and engage in contract amendments and renegotiation to accommodate scope changes.
  • Support sales efforts by providing technical clarification and negotiation during bid submission and contract negotiation phases.
  • Present proposal results to management, sales, and customers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Avoid Non-Conformance Costs (NCC) and hand over successful offers to project implementation teams.
  • Provide technical support on local sub-supplier qualification and clarification, conduct necessary design changes to meet cost reduction targets and local codes and regulations requirements.
  • Support project execution by participating in inspection/factory acceptance tests as a supplier site and providing erection and commissioning instructions at project sites, if required.
  • Coordinate gas turbine auxiliary system design activities and interfaces with internal and external engineering disciplines and procurement departments.
  • Identify, mitigate, and manage all project risks.
  • Ensure compliance to standards, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or Thermal Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an engineering discipline for GT/ST power plant systems (engineering, project management).
  • Good knowledge of domestic codes and regulations on power generation.
  • Good knowledge and experience in design of gas turbine or steam turbine auxiliary systems, lube oil systems, air intake systems, etc.
  • Rich experience in power plant auxiliary system development and supplier qualification.
  • Project site experience in installation and commissioning would be a plus.
  • Fluent English and Chinese skills in a business environment.
  • Proven intercultural experience, working experience in a European company would be a plus.
