Job Title: Senior Category Manager

Department: Finance & Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Category Manager to join our team at Novo Nordisk. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies that drive business value and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sourcing and Category Management:

a) Develop and implement sourcing strategies for specific categories, including opportunity identification, data analysis, and strategy development.

b) Set up long-term and short-term sourcing & category strategies for respective departments and monitor their implementation.

c) Drive the whole process from sourcing initiatives to tactical purchasing, seeking synergies and saving potentials.

2. Compliance and Benchmarking:

a) Lead the procurement team on benchmarking with peers to ensure NN's procurement relevant BE policy is suitable.

b) Support category management team on auditing and monitoring the corrective actions of findings.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

a) Support global project implementation.

b) Coordinate with China Procurement Group, seeking synergy and optimization.

Requirements:


• Bachelor degree and above;


• Minimum 10 years of working experience in procurement area, and 8 years above on sourcing area (incl. 3 years above on current position);


• Professional knowledge within Procurement field in Pharma industry;


• Category experience in PV and Clinical Service is preferable;


• Experienced in leading sourcing project independently;


• Good project management skill, proactive with a sense of urgency;


• Strong ownership, flexible and able to work under pressure;


• Good communication skills;


• Fluency in both written & spoken English.
