Role Overview:

Purpose of the Position: Lead the Supplier Business Review process with Executive Champions to ensure alignment on commercial and development strategies between the organization and key suppliers.

Core Responsibilities:

Implement cost reduction initiatives through high-level negotiations and secure supply agreements to achieve optimal cost, quality, and timing; Provide essential purchasing and commercial support to manufacturing facilities; Collaborate with key suppliers to identify optimal trade-offs for the lowest total cost solutions using the TQCM initiative; Develop and execute commodity strategies to gain maximum competitive advantage; Conduct benchmarking, rationalization, and management of critical and strategic suppliers; Oversee supplier evaluation, selection, and relationship management; Execute a best-in-class sourcing process to secure optimal total cost solutions through regional/global supplier quotations, negotiations, and effective contract management; Identify innovative technologies and suppliers to enhance the company’s competitive edge.

Performance Metrics:

Drive company purchasing strategies and decisions for joint ventures; Balance risks to achieve the lowest material costs within tight deadlines; Support commodity bid lists, monitor supplier performance, and pursue new business opportunities; Assist in new business initiatives and maintain a database of key supplier technology capabilities.

Key Deliverables for the First Year:

Acquire knowledge and utilize modern purchasing tools and techniques to achieve successful cost reduction activities; Engage with suppliers or joint ventures to develop creative solutions for securing long-term agreements with strategic partners; Collaborate closely with buyers and engineering teams globally to gather market intelligence on pricing, technology, and competitor analysis.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably a Master’s in Electronics Engineering or a related field; Over 5 years of experience in significant roles within an international business environment, with procurement or purchasing leadership experience, particularly in electrical components; Proven expertise in category strategies; Experience in value chain analysis (VAVE, TQCM) and supplier evaluation/selection; Strong negotiation and presentation skills; Advanced interpersonal skills with experience in multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams; Proficient in Microsoft applications; Fluent in business English, with strong presentation and writing skills; proficiency in a second language is a plus.
