Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Culinary Operations Manager to oversee the culinary operations of our esteemed restaurant, The Market Hot. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our cooks and kitchen staff, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and presentation.
  • Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays to enhance the dining experience.
  • Ensure proper portion control, arrangement, and garnish to meet our quality standards.
  • Monitor the quantity of food prepared and inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items.
  • Prepare special meals or substitute items as required, and assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks.
  • Maintain kitchen logs for our food safety program and food products, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with management to hire, train, schedule, evaluate, counsel, discipline, and motivate employees to achieve exceptional performance.
  • Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and support team members to reach common goals.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in culinary management, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or related field preferred.
