Job Overview

As a pivotal member of our team, you will report directly to the Asia Technical Manager and collaborate closely with the regional inspections team. Your primary focus will be on providing technical guidance and fostering skill enhancement for the front-line team involved in textile product inspections.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass the following:

  • Evaluate and Monitor: Regularly assess the inspection team's technical competencies, identifying gaps in performance relative to client expectations and service requirements.
  • Identify Talent: Recognize top-performing inspectors and those needing improvement in technical knowledge.
  • Training Development: Create and implement a detailed training plan for inspectors requiring specific skill enhancement.
  • Conduct Training Sessions: Facilitate both individual and group training workshops for inspectors, utilizing both in-person and remote methods.
  • Performance Monitoring: Oversee the inspection team’s technical performance through client feedback, key performance indicators, on-site evaluations, and report assessments.
  • Recruitment Involvement: Participate in the recruitment process by technically evaluating candidates through interviews and practical assessments to ensure only those with strong textile knowledge are selected.
  • Material Development: Design, create, and maintain standardized assessment, training, and testing materials.
  • New Inspector Training: Provide comprehensive technical training on QIMA Inspection Standard Operating Procedures, IT tools, and both standard and client-specific training modules.
  • Certification Delivery: Issue QIMA inspector certificates to new inspectors who successfully complete their final evaluations before they can conduct inspections independently.
  • Client Liaison: Act as the primary technical contact for clients, ensuring their requirements are understood and met at all levels, while ensuring inspectors possess the necessary skills and knowledge.
Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology or Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of practical experience in the textile sector, ideally in production and quality assurance.
  • Extensive knowledge of garment production processes and technologies, including the latest advancements.
  • A thorough understanding of textile machinery and technology, along with their quality implications throughout the production stages.
  • Strong familiarity with quality management systems utilized in contemporary textile manufacturing.
  • The ability to audit manufacturing processes and quality systems in garment factories, along with proposing and implementing quality improvement plans.
  • Proficiency in English and the local language of your base country.
