Job Overview

As a pivotal member of our team, you will report directly to the Asia Technical Manager and collaborate closely with the regional inspections team. Your primary focus will be on providing technical support and enhancing the skill set of the front-line team responsible for textile product inspections.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass the following:

  • Evaluate and Enhance the technical capabilities of the inspection team, identifying gaps in performance relative to client expectations and service requirements.
  • Recognize High Performers and those inspectors who require further development in technical knowledge.
  • Design and Implement a detailed training program for inspectors needing specific skill enhancements.
  • Facilitate Training Sessions, both individually and in groups, through in-person and remote methods.
  • Oversee the Inspection Team on technical matters by utilizing client feedback, key performance indicators, on-site evaluations, and report assessments.
  • Conduct Interviews during the recruitment process, assessing candidates' technical expertise through interviews, theoretical assessments, and practical evaluations to ensure a strong understanding of textile products and processes.
  • Create and Maintain standardized assessment, training, and testing materials.
  • Provide Comprehensive Training to new inspectors on QIMA Inspection Standard Operating Procedures, IT tools, and both standard and client-specific technical training.
  • Issue QIMA Inspector Certification to new inspectors who successfully complete their final evaluations prior to independent inspections.
  • Act as the Primary QIMA Contact for clients locally, ensuring that their technical requirements are fully integrated and that inspectors possess the necessary skills and knowledge to meet these needs.
Qualifications

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology or Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of practical experience in the textile sector, ideally in production and quality assurance.
  • Extensive knowledge of garment production processes and technologies, including the latest advancements.
  • A thorough understanding of textile machinery and technologies, along with their quality implications throughout the production stages.
  • Strong familiarity with quality management systems utilized in contemporary textile manufacturing.
  • The ability to audit manufacturing processes and quality systems in garment factories, along with proposing and implementing quality improvement plans.
  • Proficiency in English and the local language of your base country.
