About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join adidas as an Assistant Manager Category Management Special Channel FTW WOMEN. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sustainable business growth, especially for women's perspective, through a product strategy that reflects a deep understanding of value-driven consumer behavior and commercial needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deepen Consumer Connection: Obtain consumer insights and translate them into effective product and marketplace management.
- Merchandising Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute seasonal merchandising plans and strategies, including range architecture, segmentation, lifecycle, pricing, product range, and store layout from both global and local perspectives.
- Product Creation Planning: Plan, brief, and manage the product creation process with the creation team to deliver price-value-competitive products that drive special channel growth without compromising regular channels.
- Business Planning Management: Be responsible for seasonal sell-in with product range plans and sell-in margins to achieve sell-out targets and other critical product financial targets.
- Routine: Monitor business performance through DNA & MicroStrategy and manage systems and files, including Master Range File, HUB, DMT & RMA.
- x-BU Collaboration: Collaborate closely with BU to provide input into category strategies and seasonal ranging, identify opportunities to maximize through segmentation and exclusivity, and ensure clear differentiation of the offering where critical to gain market share and drive business growth.
- Drive Cross-Functional Communication & Alignment: This role requires smooth and effective cross-functional communication, including sales and channels, to align seasonal strategy and assortment with both GCA and Global organization.

Requirements:
- Expert understanding of China market and consumers and commercial needs (especially women's footwear perspective) and ability to interpret insights against strategy.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Strong data analysis skills and ability to translate and articulate data results into clear business actions.
- Distinct track record of success and high-level category management & merchandising knowledge from sports industry in footwear.
- Strong cross-functional and stakeholder management experience across commercial functions (e.g., marketing, sales, buying, etc.) and support functions (finance preferred).
- Positive and organized work ethic, ability to organize teams and processes cross-functionally.
- Solution-oriented mindset.
- Team player with high level of integrity & attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in range management/product required. Regional experience preferred.
- University degree in business or equivalent professional experience.
- Sporting goods industry experience required.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel (Pivot), PowerPoint, etc.
- Passion for sports and belief that through sports we have the power to change lives.
- Willingness to travel up to 10-15% of time.
