Job Description

Generalist Part

  • Monitor and interpret legal requirements related to our business, providing proactive advice to business teams and other functions for implementation.
  • Oversee daily legal affairs for dedicated scope, including consultancy, contracts, advice, and dispute resolution.
  • Draft, review, and maintain legal documents, contract templates, and other necessary materials.
  • Plan and deliver legal training on compliance and relevant requirements.
  • Provide ad-hoc legal support to business projects and collaborate with global legal colleagues and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead internal processes for legal cases through arbitration or litigation.
  • Support the China Legal & Governance team in handling other ad-hoc legal affairs.

Specialist Part

  • Focus on manufacturing companies (home furniture & components plants) and sustainability (ESG) legislation areas.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Chinese laws in civil & commercial areas, with practical experience in company law, contract law, litigation, and/or arbitration, employment issues, and product quality.
  • Knowledge and experience in sustainability (ESG) areas are preferred.
  • Self-motivated and passionate about business, with excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proactive and initiative-driven, with a keen interest in continuous improvement and renewal.
  • Fluent legal English in both writing and oral, with strong logical and structural thinking.
  • Strong leadership skills in a diversified business environment, with excellent Microsoft Office skills.
