About the Role
As a Skretting Service Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing technical support to customers in the commercial animal farming industry. Your primary objective will be to act as a technical resource to sales professionals and customers, interpreting field data and providing feedback on housing, transport, equipment, nutrition, and related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support
Provide routine technical support to customers, including direct farm contact and ensuring seamless communication with sales teams. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Value SellingAsk insightful questions to uncover implied needs, and develop those needs by building value for the customer through effective investigation and presentation of company products and services. Identify and explain how Skretting's capabilities match customer explicit needs, supporting feasibility and optimization of offered products and services.
Knowledge SharingIntroduce new solutions and concepts to customers through engaging technical presentations and demonstrations. Prepare articles for in-house publications and press releases, highlighting Skretting's expertise and innovative approaches. Facilitate training for internal sales professionals and provide on-site technical training for customers to enhance their understanding of solutions and product limitations.
Process OptimizationDevelop, monitor, and update written standard operating procedures and process control strategies. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, or quality control teams to identify user and/or design problems, driving continuous improvement within Skretting.
ToolsCoordinate, execute, maintain, and improve various administrative sales processes and systems, adhering to applicable work methods to ensure efficient and effective sales administration compliant with policies and regulations. Record sales call outcomes and plan future actions to drive successful sales conclusions.
Management InformationProvide insights to management on request or own initiative regarding quantitative and qualitative developments within your area of sales/expertise, based on reporting guidelines. Ensure all information is appropriately stored and updated for timely decision-making and sales strategy adjustments.
Internal NetworkingMaintain and build your product and technical knowledge in relevant categories through local and global trainings, collaborating with the sales team, product development, and Global Innovation. Prepare customer quotes and advise customers accordingly to conclude sales effectively.
ProjectsParticipate in sales and customer service-related projects within your area and contribute to project results.
About You
We are seeking an exceptional Service Specialist with a passion for animal nutrition and a proven track record of delivering outstanding technical support and value selling. You should have excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand complex technical issues and articulate them in simple terms. A degree in a relevant field (e.g., animal science, agriculture) and experience working in the animal nutrition industry would be beneficial.
Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
