Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage import and export functions to ensure compliance with trade regulations while effectively handling logistics operations.
  • Enhance and refine cross-departmental processes related to import and export activities, coordinating with both internal and external teams to resolve operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with the trade compliance team to align operational strategies and ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Work closely with manufacturing sites to manage bonded materials documentation.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and agents to guarantee timely customs clearance and on-schedule delivery for ocean, air, and international express shipments.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for import and export activities, conducting root cause analyses and developing corrective and preventive action plans for any discrepancies.
  • Handle freight and brokerage invoices, addressing any discrepancies that arise.
  • Promote continuous improvement in import and export processes, including IT solutions such as SAP, GTS, and CTM.
  • Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in import and export operations within the chemical sector.
  • In-depth understanding of international trade and customs regulations.
  • Familiarity with IT systems utilized in customs and logistics operations, including SAP, GTS, and CTM.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong coordination and teamwork capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a focus on establishing efficient workflows.
