About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Epoxy Expert to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY (CHINA) LTD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead product and process development projects for dry-type transformers, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Analyze existing epoxy formulations, provide fundamental knowledge on chemical systems, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assess production processes, identify gaps, and organize prototyping and testing activities to validate innovative technologies and new products.
  • Document and transfer knowledge from R&D to production, providing technical support to other departments as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology solutions, international standards, market trends, and customer requirements.
  • Maintain close collaboration with suppliers to ensure raw material quality and perfect fit to R&D and factory needs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in polymer engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a large organization, preferably in a factory environment.
  • Strong background in epoxy resin and processing, including lab-scale up to prototyping.
  • Deep knowledge of reaction kinetics, casting, and curing processes of composite materials and filled epoxy systems.
  • Practical knowledge of material characterization methods (thermal, mechanical, processing).
  • Solid track record as a project leader.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, statistical, and simulation tools.
  • Fluent in English language (writing and speaking).
