Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Hyatt Corporation. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for assisting the Chef de Cuisine in managing the kitchen as a successful independent profit center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt's Corporate Strategic Priorities
  • Support the Chef de Cuisine in managing kitchen operations, including planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the Kitchen operation and administration
  • Ensure maximum guest satisfaction through effective management of kitchen staff and resources
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Develop and implement effective kitchen procedures and protocols to ensure efficient operations and minimize waste

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience as Sous Chef or 4 years as Chef de Partie in a hotel or large restaurant with good standards
  • Preferably with experience in luxury international brands
  • Qualification in Kitchen Production or Management will be an advantage
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards
  • Basic Computer Skills in MS Office, and Recipe Maintenance System is preferred
