Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Hyatt Hotels Corporation. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Chef de Cuisine in managing the kitchen operation as a successful independent profit center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef de Cuisine in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the kitchen operation and administration.
  • Ensure maximum guest satisfaction through effective management of kitchen staff and resources.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and delicious menu offerings.
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and safety practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience as a Sous Chef or 4 years as a Chef de Partie in a hotel or large restaurant.
  • Qualification in Kitchen Production or Management is an advantage.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards.
  • Basic computer skills in MS Office and Recipe Maintenance System is preferred.
