Executive Pastry Director for Culinary Excellence

Job Description:
This role is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the pastry and bakery department at Hyatt Corporation's Dongao Island property. The successful candidate will work closely with the culinary team to deliver exceptional products that meet the hotel's high standards and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the production process for all pastry and bakery products, ensuring they contribute to the overall success of outlets and banquets.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and implement innovative menus and recipes that enhance the guest experience.
- Supervise a team of skilled pastry chefs and ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional results.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, supplies, and labor costs, providing regular reports to management.
Requirements:
- Apprenticeship or professional diploma in Food Production with pastry specialization.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Pastry Chef or Assistant Pastry Chef in a larger operation.
- Excellent practical, operational, and administrative skills, with a flair for creativity.
Compensation:
The estimated salary for this position is $44,000 - $55,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. This figure may vary depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
