Job Summary
As a key member of the Hyatt International team, the Sous Chef will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the bakery department. This includes assisting the Chef de Cuisine in managing kitchen operations, planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the kitchen administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Cuisine in managing kitchen operations, including planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the kitchen administration.
- Ensure maximum guest satisfaction through effective management of kitchen staff and resources.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menu offerings and promotions.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef or 4 years as a Chef de Partie in a hotel or large restaurant with good standards.
- Qualification in Kitchen Production or Management is an advantage.
- Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards is essential.
- Basic computer skills in MS Office and Recipe Maintenance System are preferred.
