We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Engineer to join our team in Shanghai. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our data centre operations across Asia Pacific.
Job Summary- Maintain and support data centre operations, including cabling, server, and network equipment installation, monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Facilitate smooth day-to-day operations, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Assist with planning and execution of physical infrastructure changes, including equipment moves or new data centre build-outs.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot servers, network equipment, and cabling systems.
- Monitor and maintain power and space within data centres, including capacity planning and spare parts management.
- Perform break-fix repairs to equipment, including replacing hard drives, memory, transceivers, and other hardware components.
- Coordinate with remote teams and service partners to resolve technical issues and ensure seamless operation.
- Document data centre activities, maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Detailed understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and data centre operations.
- Experience with structured cabling systems, fibre optic, and copper cabling.
- Familiarity with power and communications cabling standards.
- Knowledge of server operating systems, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills, fluency in English, and ability to work effectively with remote teams.
- Ability to lift 30kg and work on weekends as required.
- A competitive salary of approximately ¥600,000 - ¥800,000 per year, depending on experience.
