What's the role?

As the Senior Sales Manager, you are an individual contributor and are responsible for achieving sales and/or profitability objectives of the Greater China based automotive accounts. You will be part of a highly collaborative cross functional team and therefore, required to develop and lead various internal and external, cross functional projects to successful completion. You will also be prospecting Content, In Vehicle Infotainment, Connected Vehicle Services and Highly Automated Driving opportunities in all parts of automotive business, creating the strategy to establish and collaborate with the automotive system vendors and OEMs.

Your main responsibilities include:

Achieving assigned sales targets for the growth of company. Driving the revenue of the program by monitoring and optimizing revenue from assigned business. Developing and executing sales strategy for the assigned market and accounts. Leading the projects and aligning with local & the global teams for the assigned customers including Greater China based OEMs and system venders. Prospecting and developing new business opportunities – Developing innovative proposals and delivering strategic sales presentations. Strengthening relationships as a trusted advisor for the various stake holders of existing and potential customers across multiple levels of organization including executive managements and external parties in assigned business segment. Working with key customers to identify future product requirements for HERE’s Location Based Services and communicating the requirements to product and operational teams within the organization. Monitoring and reporting on market and competitor activities and providing relevant reports and information. Executing targeted customer training and workshops.

Who are you?

You are someone with a “can do” attitude who is willing to accept tasks and responsibilities that may fall outside a traditional “salesperson” role to ensure the ongoing growth of Chinese automotive outbound and inbound business. You will consistently demonstrate advanced sales, marketing/ market research, analytical and business skills.

You are a strong candidate for this role if your possess the following skills, competencies and work experience:

Bachelors or advanced degree in business, engineering or related fields 15+ years of relevant work experience with at least 8 years as a sales manager with a proven record of being able to closing complex deals Direct Sales experience on software licensing business models Deep understanding of Chinese customers’ procurement and business partnership practices and automotive business trends. Successful management of complex projects and demonstrated execution excellence. Strong cross functional collaboration skills and team building skills. Superior commercial skills especially negotiation and “closing” skills. Ability to build strong and influential relationships with key decision makers at the customer side. Ability to manage various stakeholders at multiple levels of people and organization in automotive customers as well as assigned markets. Background in automotive electronics system integration solutions or LBS related solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin. Organized with strong follow-up skills and a high sense of urgency.
