We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

The Risk and Control Manager is responsible for assisting with the effective governance and management of non-financial risks in the First Line of Defence.

This job provides specialist Risk and Control advice and/or support, challenges and insights, promoting Risk and Control monitoring and decision-making.

This job category will carry out some or all of the following tasks

·This role assists with the implementation of the Risk and Control strategy as set out by the Head of Business Control and Strategy or team leader. This role will ensure the consistent and effective implementation and performance of operational Risk and Control assurance across Pinnacle Fintech (“PINF”) and its service recipients (incl. HSBC Life Insurance (INSH), HSBC Brokerage (PINB), and etc.).

·This role will be mainly tasked to provide services of RCA (Risk and Control Assessment), thematic control checking or testing, internal/external event review, management issue review, governance forum supporting, 1st line Risk and Control MI, and other 1st line risk and control responsibilities assigned by team leader, to both PINF and its service recipients (INSH and PINB).

·This role will engage with all 1st Lineteams, 2nd line of defense and 3rd line of Defense at the direction of the Head of Business Control or team leader.

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

·7 years or above working experience with solid operational risk knowledge and experience, preferable with life insurance, broker company, or related financial industry and able to demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of the challenges facing the global financial services industry and the changing regulatory landscape surrounding compliance organizations within the banking industry.

·Working experience in audit/assurance or risk management, CIA, CISA, FRM, CFE holder is preferred; and working experience in frontline sales risk and control related activities is preferred.

·Experience of implementing control frameworks within complex environments.

·Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic and/or operational planning skills. Lateral thinker with an ability to interpret and solve complex issues.

·Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively influence and communicate across various business lines and different levels within the organization

·Excellent communicator with strong collaborative, inter-personal and influencing skills.

·Good time management skill and a positive disposition are needed to cope with the process of heavy workload.

·Proficient English in verbal and written
