Finance Manager – Guangzhou, China Office Our client, a rapidly growing Gen-Z Fashion Brand, is in search of a dynamic individual to step into the pivotal role of Finance Manager for their China office. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting, demonstrate passion, and exhibit excellent leadership skills to establish and grow the finance department. Additionally, strong managerial skills are required to oversee the team and manage all financial processes in China effectively. Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. 
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies and procedures to safeguard financial assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for strategic financial decision-making and goal achievement. 
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Supervise budgeting processes and ensure adherence to financial targets and objectives. 
  • Manage external relationships with auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions. 
  • Guide strategic planning initiatives by providing financial insights and recommendations. 
  • Review payment applications, address non-compliant expenses, oversee cash flow estimates, payments, and receipts to ensure operational liquidity. 
  • Assess contract payment terms, scrutinize supplier qualifications, payment conditions, and review credit insurance. 
  • Ensure accuracy in tax reports, customs declarations to mitigate compliance risks, and validate financial data integrity for precise operational performance reflection.
  • Enhance process efficiencies among financial departments, refine intra-departmental financial processes to mitigate risks and proactively flag potential financial hazards. 
  • Responsible for the payrolls and onboarding processes of employees, ensuring timely payment of salaries and smooth onboarding of employees. 
 Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher knowledge of international accounting standards and regulations, experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, internal control development, managing audits, tax filings, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, team leadership success, and ongoing professional development through relevant certifications or courses in accounting and finance.
  • Skills/Ability: With over five years of independent accounting management experience
  • Preferably an Accounting or Finance major with a keen ability to quickly learn national policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Exceptional cross-functional skills aiding in effective collaboration, conflict resolution, and goal achievement, along with demonstrated leadership qualities.
Core Competency:
  • Report to HQ finance team, proficiency in spoken and written English. 
  • Advanced skills in accounting software and financial analysis tools, meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
