SUMMARY
IFF is creating a new role of Innovation Lead for PepsiCo Snacks in Greater China, that will work both internally and externally to ensure that IFF is positioned to meet future market and stakeholder expectations in this key focus region. The role provides a unique opportunity to work within the global IFF account team that supports PepsiCo snacks category to develop, influence and help implement strategies to support and drive business growth goals and increase win rates.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEAD
Reporting to the Global Technical Director, PepsiCo Snacks, the Innovation Leader – PepsiCo Snacks Greater China is accountable for delivering strategic innovation and driving proactivity to the customer, building key relationships with stakeholders both internally at IFF and externally at PepsiCo China. This position serves as a key link to these stakeholders, anticipating critical trends, creating opportunities, and developing strategies to improve the understanding and acceptance of the IFF portfolio.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Act as a partner to the RAM, local Account Manager and C&D Team to develop, implement and execute technical programs in alignment with the Account Strategy create opportunities that deliver business growth and increase IFF share at the customer while cementing a long-term viable business relationship to achieve the IFF corporate vision, specifically for the PepsiCo snacks account.
• Build technical-to-technical relationships/partnerships with key decision makers both internally at IFF and externally at PepsiCo China, navigating the customer technical culture and development processes. Nurture and provide best in class technical services to PepsiCo China by connecting and focusing IFF technical resources with the customer needs.
• Create collaboration between customer and IFF to grow business by positioning and utilizing IFF flavor / biotech creativity and technology.
• Work with the Global Technical Director to deliver innovation, productivity and technologies to the local IFF creative team and the customer, targeted and focused on the specific needs for China.
• Build local portfolio of IFF technologies to support the growth opportunities in China, gaining an understanding of all IFF capabilities in China and creating relationships with the key stakeholders.
• Provide general technical innovation support to advance the IFF position at PepsiCo Snacks China.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as technical innovation primary point of contact for PepsiCo Snacks China.
• Help to build technical to technical relationships with customer's key technical contacts and navigate the customer's evolving structure and development processes through nurturing and regular visibility to the account.
• Work effectively at a hands-on level as required and provide leadership and advise to other members of the PepsiCo project teams, to ensure highest win rate possible by developing targeted innovation solutions, both proactively and reactively to meet the needs of the customer.
• Collaborate with the RAM and local IFF team (AM and C&D) to understand the needs and deliver specific innovation requirements for China.
• Interact and collaborate with the customer and facilitate the building of the customer technical relationship with the IFF technical community.
• Guide organization to design and develop key innovation needs specifically for China.
• Provide cross-functional leadership to execute and demonstrate proactive innovation projects utilizing IFF technologies and capabilities.
• Comfortable and knowledgeable with commercialization/scale up of seasonings and flavor systems, and other IFF technologies.
