Job Overview

TE's HR Business Partners play a crucial role in implementing Human Resources policies at the business unit level, collaborating with management to drive company-wide programs and initiatives such as succession planning, talent acquisition, total rewards, and change management. They work closely with the HR function to provide valuable services to both management and employees that align with the organization's objectives, strategies, and policies.

The Global Human Resources Business Partner (Global HRBP) collaborates with the Dir HRBP – Global Operations to offer HR support to the Data and Devices Central Operations Teams, including MPDE, Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, TEOA/Continuous Improvement, Ops Strategy/Footprint, EHS, and PBL. They also extend HR support to various global transformation projects that are in progress. This role involves working with a diverse team of around 500+ individuals spread across the globe. As part of the HR Business Partner role, the individual will assist in developing and implementing a wide range of human resources activities and initiatives, encompassing organizational and talent development, change management, succession planning, workforce planning, and talent acquisition. Additionally, they will ensure alignment and continuity of HR initiatives across central operation functions and regions.

The position also involves offering HR support to several function-led transformation projects to ensure the timely and accurate execution of HR deliverables. It requires close collaboration with operations management, HR Solutions, HR COE's, Plant Manufacturing, and other functional partners involved in the projects. This role provides an exciting opportunity to think and work on a global scale within a complex and dynamic environment, driving business outcomes through people and organizational initiatives. The position can be based in any TE China location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as part of the D&D HR team to support the Global Operations function, focusing on designing and delivering strategic HR initiatives including organizational and talent development, change management, succession planning, workforce planning, and talent acquisition.
  • Supporting project-based work on critical strategic imperatives.
  • Analyze trends and metrics within client groups to develop proactive actions that support business objectives and people strategy.
  • Create and maintain a dashboard to monitor progress against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for central operation teams and transformation projects.
  • Assist central operation teams in identifying organizational needs and develop workforce plans and learning programs for team growth and development.
  • Utilize project management techniques and tools to manage, track, and align initiatives across teams, regions, and projects.
  • Effectively coordinate with partners including HR Solutions, HR COE, and Operations team members to deliver HR initiatives that drive business goals.
  • Drive employee engagement through communication, programs, and alignment with development opportunities, supporting engagement surveys and addressing key action items.
  • Offer timely resolutions to critical issues and focus on strategic initiatives.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / HR KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a Business/HR related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional HR experience.
  • At least 5 years of HR Generalist / HRBP experience with a broad range of HR knowledge and skills.
  • Experience in global or international organizations.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments is advantageous.
  • Strong Business Acumen to create value for TE.
  • HR Functional Expertise in Talent Management, HR Operations, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, and more.
  • Experience with Organization Design and Talent Management Development.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills, with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
