Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, and coach the category team to develop global strategies
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders and secure buy-in for strategies
- Execute contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively
- Track commodity markets and make pricing recommendations
- Identify cost optimization opportunities and implement solutions
- Develop and implement a Commodity Value Optimization strategy
- Support productivity initiatives and ensure financial tracking
- Attract skilled team members and create a development plan
Experience
1. Strong leadership skills with global team management experience
2. Minimum of 10 years in Category/commodity management
3. Manufacturing environment experience, Automotive background preferred
4. Proficient in building cost models and achieving results
