About the Team
In collaboration with researchers, we at STM Journals aim to facilitate the publication of their impactful scientific discoveries, focusing on rigorous peer review, ethics, and reproducibility. By supporting our portfolio of 2700+ hybrid and open access scientific journals, you will play a vital role in advancing science, enhancing health outcomes, and promoting fair participation in publishing.
About the Role
Joining the Molecular Cell team means contributing to publishing top-tier research in molecular biology. We are seeking candidates with excellent communication skills and research experience in areas covered by Molecular Cell publications.
This full-time editorial position is based in Beijing or Shanghai.

Responsibilities
- Assessing submissions and overseeing the peer review and editorial process
- Recruiting compelling research studies and managing a pipeline of high-quality reviews and editorial content
- Building relationships with researchers and representing the journal and Cell Press at scientific events
- Contributing to broader Cell Press projects shaping the future of science communication
Requirements
- A Ph.D. related to molecular biology
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Effective communication abilities
- Interest in engaging with the scientific community
- Capacity to simplify complex concepts
- Ability to work well in diverse team environments
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Previous editorial experience (min. two years) for Scientific Editor level; no prior editorial experience needed for Associate Scientific Editor level
