Reporting to the Global Marketing & Innovation Leader for the DuPont Water Solutions business, the Global Wastewater Market Manager (WWMM) will be responsible for aligning a cohesive wastewater global market strategy across multiple markets (municipal and industrial) and technologies, tackling some of the hardest to treat water challenges, identifying new business models and adjacent spaces and creating a collaborative cross-functional and cross-regional growth mindset throughout the organization.
The WWMM will work collaboratively to develop and implement strategies for focused geographic expansion, doing a deep dive into emerging geographies.
Also, leading the Industrial Wastewater global market segment team with a growth mindset, the WWMM must engage with a cross functional team (TS&D, Marcom, and sometimes R&D) to develop the innovation pipeline and drive innovation projects through the stage-gate process from idea to launch, coordinating global opportunities that cross regions, application studies, case studies, content, trade events, and regulatory programs.
The role is accountable for overall industrial wastewater year-over-year growth and for collaborating with Industrial Water and Energy Global Marketing Leader and Industrial Water Regional Marketing Managers to discuss insights and to facilitate accurate demand planning, pricing, and customer targeting at the segment-technology level.
Deliverables will include documented strategic marketing plans for the overall wastewater application, an industrial wastewater marketing plan and specific geographic expansion market plans to optimize growth.
Preferred locations are Shanghai, China, Marina Bay, Singapore, Wilmington, DE USA, Edina, MI USA, Chauny, France, Paris France, Greiffenberg, Germany, Tarragona, Spain, or be willing to relocate to the areas.
Responsibilities:
Development of a comprehensive and executable overall wastewater strategy, industrial wastewater marketing strategy, and specific geographic expansion strategies focused with where to play/how to win strategic components that tie into the DWS business strategy.
Analyze competitor activities, market trends, market growth rates, emerging technologies, business and performance to ensure DWS stays aware of and reacts to the evolving landscape and has a complete view of the serviceable addressable market as well as current share and growth performance.
Responsible for industrial wastewater global and regional target pricing, long-term forecasting, and supporting the commercial organization on planning and execution of growth strategies in alignment with the Industrial Water and Energy Global Marketing Leader.
Develop innovation pipeline for globally led market segment and act as the project leader to advance critical innovation projects through the stage gate process creating robust business cases and driving programs against externally focused milestones.
Develop comprehensive launch packages:
FAQ, literature, deck, regional implementation plan, target customers by region, communication plan and market plan.
Partner with marcom setting the priorities for industrial wastewater to develop & implement appropriate marcom strategy, including editorials, press releases, webinars, other digital and traditional media as well as thought leadership.
Own website content and update for industrial wastewater.Be decisive, laser focused and act with a sense of urgency on efforts that most contribute to delivering our goals while being a change agent, modeling the appropriate behaviors in the business to deliver growth.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated business and financial acumen with ability to collect and analyze data and communicate insights effectively.
Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar markets through primary research and analysis and develop strategic plans to address those markets.
A leader who naturally connects and builds strong relationships with others, demonstrates strong emotional intelligence, and possesses the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
Ability to take direction from direct and in-direct leaders.A highly motivated and results-driven professional with excellent interpersonal skills.
A change agent who conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure.
Solid organization skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. Strong project management expertise. A strategic thinker.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A B.S. degree is required in a business or technical field; MBA strongly preferred.
10 years in marketing and business development
- 5 years' experience in B2B marketing
- 2 years' strategic market planning experience
Working in multi-cultural, multi-region experience preferred.
Preferred experience in water treatment technology.
