Key Responsibilities
As a Flavor Specialist at International Flavors & Fragrances, you will play a vital role in crafting delicious products by engaging in some of the most innovative projects in the flavor and food & beverage sector today.

Your Contributions
Primary Responsibilities

• Operate autonomously and collaboratively within project teams, partnering with various cross-functional groups to develop exceptional flavors.

• Actively assess new raw materials and evaluate their potential for future flavor development.

• Collaborate with both internal and external clients to foster insightful partnerships and build trusting relationships.

• Exhibit creativity and innovation in your daily tasks, maximizing IFF technologies to deliver groundbreaking flavor solutions.

• Champion the adoption of new technologies in flavor development.

• Serve as a preferred partner to clients, showcasing technical expertise and creativity.

• Engage with manufacturing and operational teams as needed to ensure a seamless transition from bench to batch development and commercialization.

Strategic Insight

• Interact with key clients to comprehend their needs and cultivate strong, trusted partnerships.

• Identify gaps in product offerings and technologies, taking creative measures to address consumer demands.

• Understand local market preferences and taste variations to create tailored flavors.

• Promote cross-category collaboration and knowledge sharing to deliver technical solutions to both internal and external clients.

Presentation Proficiency

• Demonstrate effectiveness in various formal presentation contexts (internal/external): one-on-one, small groups, and larger audiences.

• Capture attention and manage group dynamics during presentations.

Qualifications for Success

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 10 years of experience in the Flavor Industry in a creative capacity.

• Comprehensive understanding of the Flavors Category with a strong focus on flavor creation and applications, raw materials, and chemical processes.

• Possess robust technical knowledge in flavor creation, innovation, and development within a B2B or B2C context.

• Strong interest in evaluating new raw materials and their potential applications in flavor development.

• Proven ability to build strong client relationships and lead significant technical projects.

• Familiarity with flavor creation techniques and trends in the Sweet products market.

• Comfortable operating in a B2B environment with a proactive, results-oriented mindset.

• Excellent teamwork, customer focus, project management, and effective time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
