About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mandarin Programme Manager to lead our Chinese Language and Literature department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting, assessing, coordinating, and developing aims and standards within this department and across other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Chinese Curriculum Primary School and the Director of Primary School Curriculum to promote, assess, coordinate, and develop aims and standards within the department and across other departments.
  • Ensure that students are supported throughout their learning journey, setting the highest expectations for achievement within the department and upholding excellent academic standards.
  • Lead efforts in curriculum development and instructional improvements within the department, as well as contribute to the continuous professional development of faculty members.
  • Inspire colleagues to fully commit to their roles, aligning with the values and ethos of the institution's vision.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Chinese Language and Literature or Teaching Chinese as a Second Language or equivalent.
  • Chinese National Teaching Certificate in Chinese Subject (Primary School).
  • PGCE preferable.
  • Evidence of involvement in relevant CPD.
  • Fluent in Chinese and English.
