The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in China is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the Strategic Partnership and Policy Team. The internship will provide an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international development, partnership building, and programme management.


The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the team, including programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, and administrative tasks. The intern will also have the opportunity to contribute to research and analysis on development issues, and participate in meetings and discussions with international and local partners.


Key responsibilities include:



  • Assisting in programme coordination, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects
  • Providing administrative support, including data collection, record-keeping, and communication with stakeholders
  • Conducting research and analysis on development issues, and providing recommendations to the team
  • Participating in meetings and discussions with international and local partners, and taking minutes as needed

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. A strong interest in international development and partnership building is essential.

Key qualifications include:



  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme in a relevant field, such as international development, political science, economics, or sociology
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interest in international development and partnership building

The internship will be for a period of 3-6 months, and the selected candidate will be required to work full-time (40 hours per week). The internship is unpaid, but UNDP will provide a stipend to cover living expenses.
