Our Purpose

This role is a critical part of our team, responsible for directing, developing, and implementing Environmental and Health and Safety (EHS) compliance programs to achieve ongoing certifications against ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the company's EHS policy at a local level, monitoring, recording, and sharing Health and Safety and environmental KPI data.
  • Develop and implement proactive Health and Safety management systems to reduce incidents and accidents, improving operator awareness and formalizing department and managerial safety awareness.
  • Organize and lead the workplace Health and Safety committee, ensuring compliance with local government requirements.
  • Investigate incidents effectively, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions in a timely manner.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for Idemia employees, visitors, and contractors, maintaining and improving recycling activities.
  • Conduct routine risk assessments across all areas of the business, ensuring overall compliance and identifying vulnerabilities.
  • Partner with third parties to perform specialist audits and risk assessments, including Fire Safety, Working at Height, and LOLER.
  • Provide and schedule environmental, safety, and chemical handling training, developing and setting up safety and environmental measures for plant personnel.
  • Compile and report training figures to management, completing Health and Safety training and inductions for new employees.
  • Identify and monitor employee training needs, working with stakeholders to ensure completion.

Requirements

  • Holds a desirable degree in HSE studies and courses.
  • Possesses a certification in one or more EHS related disciplines, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
