Job Summary

DBS Bank is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify and reconcile daily settlements and confirmations.
  • Process and review daily transactions in our operational systems.
  • Review and authorize transactions in our payment systems.
  • Prepare and review internal and regulatory reports.
  • Lead a team to complete daily work and assigned tasks efficiently and effectively, ensuring the implementation of departmental instructions and procedures.
  • Analyze and resolve team errors and issues promptly, and report to departmental supervisors, assisting in risk management to reduce departmental errors.
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries promptly and accurately within the scope of responsibilities.
  • Assist in completing tasks assigned by departmental supervisors when personnel resources are scarce.
  • Attend internal and external training courses arranged by supervisors to improve business skills.
  • Lead and guide team members to learn bank-related operation manuals, regulations, and rules, enhancing employee risk awareness.
  • Train team members according to departmental training plans, improving employee self-value.
  • Arrange team members' leave reasonably according to departmental leave plans, and arrange standby personnel to ensure normal operation of daily business.
  • Assist departmental supervisors in achieving internal and external audit requirements, and complete rectification requirements within the specified time.
  • Assist departmental supervisors in completing various temporary tasks or projects.

Job Dimensions

  • Supervise backend support work for fund transactions, respond to internal and external customer inquiries, etc.
  • Guide and assist subordinates in resolving problems.
  • In business processing, identify and report errors, problems, and exceptional events to departmental supervisors.
  • Submit feasible suggestions to departmental supervisors.

Education and Relevant Experience

Minimum Qualification Requirements (What minimum qualification does the job require?)

  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in banking operations.
  • Familiarity with SWIFT message operations.
  • Good experience in financial department products and practical operations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory laws and regulations.

Functional / Technical Competencies

  • Fluent English and Chinese writing and speaking skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant SWIFT message operations.
  • Familiarity with basic financial products.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
