Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Legal Director, APAC to lead our legal team in the Asia-Pacific region.

Salary Range

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $250,000 to $350,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic legal support to business leaders to achieve goals within an acceptable risk profile.
  • Manage regulatory compliance, quality, and privacy requirements in China and other APAC jurisdictions.
  • Lead contract development, maintenance, and updates, driving process improvements for better transaction support.
  • Effectively handle governmental interactions, licenses, investigations, disputes, and legal proceedings.
  • Collaborate with Company Legal teams globally on projects and implement project outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with business partners and collaborate within the Legal Department.
Requirements
  • Admitted to practice law with a bachelor's degree in law or above from a reputable law school.
  • Minimum 10 years counsel experience, with at least 5 years in-house counsel experience with a multinational corporation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of legal matters, business operations, and critical decision-making.
  • Impressive organization and analysis skills, providing attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Mature personality with high integrity, self-motivation, and dynamic interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team leadership and player with a willingness to take responsibility.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin is a must.
