Job Summary:

The Logistics Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting various logistics functions related to the movement of cargo internationally, with a focus on cargo moving from Asia to LATAM countries. This includes:

  • Supporting container forecast processes
  • Coordinating with vendors and carriers for on-time bookings and releases
  • Reporting on cargo status and monitoring PO priorities and vessel schedules
  • Supporting shipments from Asia to NOAM, EMEA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review Open PO reports to discuss with supply chain and suppliers to confirm consolidation plans
  • Monitor vendor on-time FCL bookings to our booking agency and verify booking details if necessary
  • Review vessel schedules assigned by the booking agency
  • Verify exceptions with vendors and booking agency/approve exceptions in INX
  • Follow up on space allocation and space reports, communicating with freight forwarders, corporate logistics teams, suppliers, and supply chain to confirm space or resolve container space and equipment shortage issues
  • Check daily/weekly reports with PO priorities and ensure vessel schedules align with required ETAs
  • Control container plans to achieve reasonable container utilization and save ocean costs
  • Confirm shipping plans and work with freight forwarders and planners on special vessel schedules if needed
  • Coordinate with suppliers on shipments when ship dates change or orders pull in or push out
  • Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and assist suppliers in resolving shipping issues during loading periods
  • Verify supplier invoices and packing lists for discrepancies
  • Track shipments until cargo is on board/shipment is received by the warehouse
  • Support destination teams in resolving receipt issues, such as shortages, overages, wrong deliveries, or improper packing and HU# labels
  • Monitor shipment ASN triggers and check ASNs if correct, working with DHL to resend ASNs if they fail or are incorrect
  • Notify planners and supply chain/merchandising teams of container status updates
  • Collect and calculate container forecasts and send them to corporate logistics teams biweekly
  • Work with corporate logistics teams on carrier and lane setups
  • Provide onboarding training for new suppliers, including support for suppliers onboarded in INX
  • Calculate dead freight and team trucker fees, and charge back from suppliers if necessary
  • Data entry and filing tasks
  • Review supplier logistics performance and attend supplier KPI meetings quarterly
  • Update LDN reports to US teams
  • Monitor booking agency performance and drive for improvement
  • Attend weekly meetings with planners for daily space status
  • Support other region shipments
  • Act as a backup for team members, following up on shipments when colleagues are absent
