Job Summary

CSA Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a GMA Project Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for administering multiple country mark or approval projects on behalf of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and delegate between CSA Operations staff, International Partners/Agencies, foreign regulators, and customers to accomplish project objectives.
  • Respond to customer inquiries on foreign certification and related technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate designated GMA projects to ensure customer needs are met within the prescribed time frame, funding parameters, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify applicable safety standards, regulatory codes, and laws for foreign approval.
  • Provide engineering inputs to testing facilities for product testing and arrange alternative testing services when necessary.
  • Customize engineering projects/reports to meet foreign requirements and ensure all applicable forms are completed properly.
  • Coordinate with other departments, International Partners/Agencies, and foreign regulators to deliver one-stop service to customers.
  • Keep up-to-date on international certification requirements and research information on foreign technical requirements, government regulations, and administrative guidelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent 5+ years' experience in compliance industry.
  • 5 years' industry experience and preferably 2+ years' experience with CENELEC, IEC, or IEC-based standards.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Bilingual is preferred.
  • Knowledge of CSA Group programs and services.
  • Mentoring skills.
  • Computer proficiency (word processing and Microsoft office suites).
  • Strong problem-solving ability, detail-oriented, and ability to work independently.
  • High level of communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent listening and retention skills.
  • Initiative to develop new customer contacts.
  • Responsive and pleasant when dealing with external and internal customers, peers, and co-workers.
  • Flexible in schedule and time management.
  • Strong organization, creativity, and project management skills to plan for projects, events, and conferences.
  • Problem resolution skills to deliver high-quality and timely services.
