A Snapshot of Your Day
In this role, you will be an integral part of our spare parts division, providing essential support to the Product Competence Centers (PCCs) within Siemens Energy for Compression. As a member of the regional team, you will assist in preparing spare parts proposals on behalf of the PCCs. Your responsibilities will include managing all communications during the proposal phase. Additionally, you will collaborate with Client Managers to conduct proactive site visits to assess client parts requirements and identify opportunities for parts sales. You will serve as a liaison among various functions within the PCCs, including engineering, supply chain management (SCM), manufacturing, and order management, as well as the regional marketing department.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Act as the primary contact for all compressor spare parts inquiries within your designated territory.
  • Prepare formal bids and deliver pricing information accurately and promptly, utilizing SAP and other relevant tools. Make informed decisions regarding parts pricing.
  • Analyze tender specifications, manage risks in commercial areas such as currency fluctuations, payment terms, insurance, export controls, and compliance. Review and verify pricing, margins, delivery timelines, and alternatives for all quotes and orders.
  • Coordinate with PCC engineering and SCM to ensure timely submission of quotations and minimize Quote Response Time (QRT).
  • Initiate engineering tasks for review and updates as required by client specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to establish new drawings and revisions, as well as to address delivery and scheduling challenges.
  • Establish lead times based on data provided by planners, buyers, and manufacturing teams.
  • Utilize available resources to offer delivery alternatives when necessary.
  • Review and process customer purchase orders, informing Order Management and SCM accordingly.
  • Send Order Acknowledgements to the regional marketing team.
  • Proactively follow up on the status of opportunities before quote validity expires; provide extensions or revalidations as needed.
  • Work with client managers to strategize visits to key growth areas. Support win-back initiatives as a Subject Matter Expert and collaborate with client managers and the marketing team to enhance CP parts business.
  • Participate in customer meetings alongside client managers.
  • Review anticipated outages with client managers and prepare recommended spare parts lists for various scenarios.
  • Assist clients with their parts needs and facilitate lead generation for the sales team.
  • Advise clients on performance, improvements, outage planning, and parts management in coordination with the regional client manager.
  • Conduct market intelligence to understand installed machinery, aiming to reclaim parts purchases from competitors and promote upselling.
  • Provide clients with fundamental product and technical support, including information on parts lifecycle, material properties, and manufacturing processes.
  • Deliver fleet-specific expertise and marketing insights tailored to client needs.
  • Domestic and international travel may be required.

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, maintaining a professional and organized demeanor.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with ERP software (Oracle, SAP, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy while working under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently with equal enthusiasm.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated to discover efficient and effective methods to achieve objectives.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Siemens Energy's products and services.
