Job SummaryThe Industry Manager provides strategic and tactical marketing leadership for Avient's products and positioning, driving growth and innovation in the transportation industry.
This role requires a thought leader who can effectively interact and influence peers and senior leaders, with a strong track record of delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Identify growth opportunities in the EV and hydrogen vehicle market, analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to develop targeted strategies and plans.
- Create a strong value proposition for Avient's key innovative platforms, such as chemical foaming agents, flame retardants, and other functional additives, focusing on customer needs and customization.
- Lead new product development activities through innovation processes, introducing new products to sales and prospecting customers, and driving revenue growth.
- Conduct market research and communicate widely within the organization to identify trend-driven opportunities and drive business growth.
- Develop and execute effective marketing campaigns, advertising programs, and technical literature to generate leads and promote Avient's innovative solutions.
- Supervise trade shows, industry conferences, and digital promoting resources to generate prospecting leads and promote Avient's innovative solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent experience.
- Master's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- More than 5+ years of hands-on experience in the relevant industry, with a strong track record of delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Robust relationships or networks with key OEMs, Tiers, and compounding players in the transportation industry.
- Familiarity with chemical foaming agents, flame retardants, and other functional additives used in the transportation industry, with successful experience in specing new business and leading cross-functional teams.
- Solid salesforce experience in managing marketing campaigns, innovation dashboards, and industry activities.
- High business acumen, proactive, and enthusiasm personality.
