Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Specialist to join our team at Monolithic Power Systems. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving our sustainability initiatives and contributing to our mission to reduce our environmental footprint.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) analyst to develop and implement sustainability strategies that align with our company's goals and objectives.
  • Lead Sustainability Initiatives: Manage and achieve our corporate emissions reduction goals through 2030, ensuring we meet our sustainability targets and stay ahead of industry benchmarks.
  • Develop Energy Efficiency Strategies: Partner with our system owner, architect, and MEP design engineers to design and implement energy-efficient systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Implement Waste Reduction Programs: Develop and implement waste reduction programs, increasing recycling rates and reducing waste disposal costs.
  • GHG Emissions Inventory: Establish and maintain a comprehensive scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions inventory for our China facilities, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Green Building Certification: Provide support for green building certification, including LEED, WELL, LBC, and RESET, ensuring our facilities meet the highest sustainability standards.
  • Facilities Data Management: Manage and analyze operational data through our centralized platform, identifying trends and outliers to inform our sustainability strategies.
  • Renewable Energy Initiatives: Support and update our energy forecast model, informing our renewable energy investment decisions and ensuring we stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Research and Development: Stay up-to-date on innovative technologies, voluntary rating standards, and industry trends, ensuring we remain at the forefront of sustainability best practices.
  • ESG Reporting: Collect and summarize sustainability-related project data, providing support for our annual ESG report and ensuring we meet our reporting obligations.
  • Government and Client Relations: Collaborate with government agencies and clients to complete ESG audits, carbon emission verifications, and other related tasks, ensuring we maintain strong relationships and meet our regulatory requirements.
  • Other EHS Responsibilities: Assist with other EHS-related work, including customer audits, ISO system audits, and other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with 3-5 years of experience in sustainability or EHS-related work, preferably in a foreign IC company.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English, with a strong command of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, and a preference for CET-6 certification.
  • Sustainability Knowledge: Experience with sustainability-related knowledge, ESG frameworks, and certifications, with a strong understanding of ESG reporting requirements.
  • Project Management Skills: Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex sustainability concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a strong willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
