Safety Assurance Manager

Alstom is seeking a highly skilled Safety Assurance Manager to lead our safety assurance activities in the Projects and Programs of our region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe solutions and supporting the development of our safety roadmap.
Main Responsibilities:- Manage and perform safety assurance activities in Projects and Programs
- Deliver safe solutions and support the development of our safety roadmap
- Manage safety resources, including SAMs and SAEs, to ensure adequate skill and quantity
- Manage budget, including headcount and project/program costs
- Support CASCO and Alstom teams in safety analyses and safety issue management
- Support the development of our safety roadmap and safety activities
- Manage the workload of safety resources and allocate resources in accordance with budget
- Manage/approve QCD commitments for bids/projects and development
- Develop and maintain safety resources skills, manage training and mentoring
- Ensure proper application of safety assurance methodologies and safety instruction
- Deploy safety process, method, and tools in accordance with central rules and safety instruction
- Act as safety process correspondent and manage process reviews
- Ensure convergence between program/products and projects for safety-related topics
- Provide technical expertise and ensure customer safety acceptance
- Review safety issues and support root cause identification and mitigation measures
- Review/validate all safety analysis as per safety instruction
- Implement the safety management cycle defined by safety directors
- Maintain periodical reporting
- KPI SAF 001 - No 'NO GO' for safety reasons in gate reviews
- KPI SAF 002 - Assessment findings: low rework due to external/internal assessments
- KPI SAF 003 - Safety findings: quality of inputs
- KPI SAF 004 - Late safety requirements identification
- Safety reviews OK
- Respect QCD commitments and OTD/DOT milestones
- Compliance to process through inspections and process reviews
- Quarterly dashboard including competency matrix, workload vs capacity, consultant ratio, expertise, WCE, process maturity/adherence
- Alignment with delivery plan roadmap
- K1 management
- Advanced university or engineering degree
- English operational in reading and writing for technical documentation
- System, electrical, electronics, electromechanical engineering knowledge
- Experience in team management
- Mastering full engineering cycle and related interactions
- Mastering Cenelec standards for safety and safety methodology/concepts/principles
- 5 years successful experience in safety assurance, including 2 years in railway business
- Structured and organized

- Ability to support the team in case of 'no go' and to support/elaborate plan/solution to deliver
