Sustainable Infrastructure Specialist Lead

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank AIIB is a multilateral development bank that aims to finance infrastructure projects with sustainability at their core. Our mission is to drive economic growth and prosperity in Asia while promoting environmental protection and social responsibility.
We are seeking an experienced Sustainable Infrastructure Specialist Lead to join our team in the Sustainability and Fiduciary Solutions Department SFD. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the environmental team and overseeing the implementation of AIIB's Environmental and Social Framework ESF in our investment operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership to the Environmental Team, advising on the application of AIIB's Environmental and Social Policy ESP in our investment operations.
- Manage and lead a team of environmental specialists, including assigning tasks and engaging consultants to support project teams in the preparation and implementation of investment projects.
- Advising and supporting environmental specialists in the application of ESF in AIIB's investment operations.
- Develop and conduct training on the ESP and associated policies for AIIB staff and clients.
- Coordinate activities with other multilateral development banks MDBs and bilateral development organizations on environmental topics.
- An advanced degree in environmental or natural science, engineering, planning, law, finance, business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant international experience in environmental planning and risk management.
- A successful track record in managing environmental aspects of infrastructure programs and projects.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record as a manager and/or leader of interdisciplinary teams.
- Sound critical thinking and familiarity with business processes and international good practice in infrastructure investment operations.
