Human Resources Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our human resources functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer phone calls and record messages in a professional and courteous manner.
- Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems to ensure easy access to important documents.
- File and maintain applicant interview documentation and records in a secure and confidential manner.
- Process employment applications and track candidate progress through the hiring process.
- Prepare and type office correspondence using a computer, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Audit and coordinate the distribution of paychecks to ensure timely and accurate payment.
- Communicate with applicants regarding job offers and provide necessary documentation for I-9 employment verification.
- Create new employee personnel files and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
- Design and update employee communication bulletin boards to promote employment, recruitment, transfers, and promotions.
- Post necessary legal or regulatory notices related to Human Resources in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No license or certification required.
