Sommet Education, a leading global hospitality education network, seeks an accomplished Academic Principal to spearhead academic excellence at its upcoming Shanghai campus.

Salary: Estimated $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

About the Role:

As Academic Principal, you will be responsible for driving innovative teaching methods, managing teams, and fostering a culture of academic brilliance. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Cultivating a dynamic learning environment that nurtures academic excellence and mutual respect;
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance program quality, growth, and recognition;
  • Leading and supervising faculty teams to ensure effective program delivery and quality assurance;
  • Fostering partnerships with industry stakeholders to provide students with real-world learning experiences;
  • Recruiting, developing, and retaining high-caliber faculty members;
  • Staying abreast of industry trends and best practices to inform curriculum development and pedagogical innovations;
  • Maintaining seamless communication among stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and dialogue.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in a business-related field or equivalent, with significant industry experience;
  • A minimum of 8 years of managerial experience in education at university level and business;
  • A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience;
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multicultural teams and in an international environment;
  • Fluency in spoken and written English;
  • Ability to think strategically, lead change, and drive innovation.
