Job Title: Amazon Catalog Consultant


About the Role:


We are seeking an experienced Amazon Catalog Consultant to join our team in China. As a key member of our Vendor Management team, you will be responsible for facilitating relationships with external business partners, understanding their goals, drivers, and metrics. You will also be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and sharing data to drive business decisions, as well as participating in the coordination of new vendors' onboarding and training offshore and local teams.


Responsibilities:



  • Facilitate relationships with external business partners and understand their goals, drivers, and metrics.
  • Gather, analyze, and share data to drive business decisions.
  • Participate in the coordination of new vendors' onboarding and training offshore and local teams.
  • Act as a point of contact and trainer for offshore and local teams, identifying issues and ensuring they are addressed, documented, and resolved in a timely and professional manner.
  • Scope, participate in, and deliver small-scale local projects, defining clear briefs and roadmaps, setting stakeholders' expectations effectively.
  • Serve as an innovative center of excellence, working on catalogue pilots, testing new initiatives, and providing value-added recommendations to enhance systems and programs.
  • Operate with considerable autonomy, frugality, and discretion, working efficiently with good prioritization and judgment, identifying and evaluating potential risks, and contributing to determine appropriate corrective action.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with JP peers and management, sharing knowledge with others within and outside the team, responding promptly and accurately to questions from customers and internal business partners, and escalating issues promptly and appropriately when necessary.

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's or equivalent business school degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal Japanese with proficiency.
  • Confidence when handling simultaneous customer relationships, strong service mindset, and ability to use metrics to identify focus areas.
  • Versatility, ability to think on your feet, make smart decisions, manage competing projects, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail, solid analytical skills to evaluate and resolve ambiguity with processes, including monitoring and improving performance against KPIs.
  • Possession of passion and initiative in solving problems, even when outside remit, both re-actively and pro-actively, proposing creative solutions, taking ownership of issues through to resolution.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word) and Content Management Systems, able to learn and use new tools and systems quickly.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge of Python.
  • Call handling experience.
