Regional IPS Engineer for APAC

Reports To: Senior IPS Manager, APAC

Workplace Type: On-site

As an IPS Optimization Specialist for the Asia-Pacific region, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Enhancing IPS Reliability in collaboration with site maintenance teams across the region.
  • Assisting in the implementation and standardization of the Management Pillar to achieve cost reductions through efficiency improvements and innovative technologies.
  • Identifying opportunities to lower overall expenses while boosting productivity and efficiency, and aiding in the definition of applicable methodologies.
  • Conducting IPS assessments at a regional scale.
  • Providing mentorship to the IPS Plant team.
  • Creating systems to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for IPS initiatives and collaborative projects.
  • Promoting a data-driven culture of IPS throughout the organization.
  • Supporting the upkeep of Reliability Pillar documentation.
  • Participating in global IPS reliability and management system projects/workshops as necessary and applying best practices.
  • Assessing new technologies and concepts, seeking approval for innovations aimed at enhancing process efficiency, asset reliability, facility safety, and product quality.
  • Collaborating effectively with the Plant Leadership Team (PLT).
  • Disseminating knowledge of IPS methodologies and acting as a catalyst for cultural change.
  • Influencing regional teams and key stakeholders to drive results and engagement at both local and regional levels.

This role is ideal for you if you possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemical, Food Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance role, with a preference for reliability engineering or experience in the chemical or food sectors.
  • Knowledge of food processing and familiarity with food processing equipment mechanisms; electrical and instrumentation (E&I) knowledge is advantageous.
  • Strong project management, communication, and coaching abilities.
  • Fluency in English and a second language, preferably Mandarin or Thai.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to engage effectively across various functions.
  • A proven track record of being a change agent.
