Job Title: Business Manager - Insurance

HSBC is seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Business Manager - Insurance. As a key member of our Global Insurance team, you will be responsible for assisting with the execution of business initiatives and activities in support of Global Insurance business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the definition of the product strategy & roadmap, defining detailed product features, prioritizing backlog, leading sprint planning, and aligning with other teams & stakeholders.
  • Participate in business case preparation & supporting commercial/financial activities for Global Insurance.
  • Support in forums and committees to represent the view of the Global Insurance business as a business subject matter expert (SME).
  • Analyzing data to identify opportunities for improvement in existing processes.
  • Support for business approvals, marketing & training collateral for new products & features.
Requirements:
  • Graduate / post-graduate degree.
  • Sound skills in analysis, design (UI/CX). Experience in defining detailed features & requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Agile with experience in supporting/leading sprint planning & backlog management. Experience of using Confluence/Jira.
  • Good commercial mindset. Experience in business case preparation is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Data driven and result oriented with high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage senior stakeholders across multiple geographies & various Global Insurance & WPB teams.
  • Strong experience in financial services industry. Knowledge in Insurance domain is a plus.
  • Good understanding of the internal change framework, non-financial risk and the value stream operating model.
  • Ability to work proactively in a dynamic and changing environment, where competing priorities are expected as new opportunities arise.

Candidates with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
