Job Overview:

We are seeking an innovative and skilled Legal Intern to join our team at NBCUniversal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of commercial activities involving intellectual property rights, including marketing promotions and merchandise sales to support legal actions and litigations.
  • Coordinate requests from the local business team and provide IP documents, maintaining thorough records.
  • Develop and maintain databases of case files, trademarks portfolio, and evidence related to intellectual property used in daily commercial activities.
  • Assist with online monitoring and enforcement programs, coordinating with the creative team to provide authentication results.
  • Conduct research and analysis on specific legal issues and locate necessary materials for trademark prosecution matters.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the China legal team.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate (3rd or 4th year) or Master graduate from a top university in China, with a passed PRC bar exam being a significant advantage.
  • Excellent command of English (written and oral) and strong legal writing skills in both English and Chinese.
  • Proficient computer skills to facilitate document consolidation and collation.
  • Able to work at least 4 days per week, ideally 5 days, with a commitment to intern for at least 6 months or longer, preferably starting at the fourth week of November.
  • Previous internship experience in a multinational corporation or top law firm is an asset.
  • Fast learner with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around $18,000-$22,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
