Senior Manager of Category Management and Special Channel Growth

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead our Category Management and Special Channel Growth efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sustainable business growth through a product strategy that reflects an understanding of value-driven consumer behavior and distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities- Consumer Insights and Product Management: Obtain and deliver consumer insights to inform product and marketplace management decisions.
- Merchandising Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute seasonal merchandising plans, including range architecture, segmentation, lifecycle, pricing, and product range.
- Product Creation Planning: Plan, brief, and manage the product creation process to deliver price-competitive products that drive special channel growth.
- Business Planning and Management: Responsible for seasonal sell-in with product range plans and sell-in margins to achieve sell-out targets and other critical product financial targets.
- Routine Tasks: Conduct business tracking and reviews through DNA and MicroStrategy, and manage system and file management, including Master Range Files, HUB, DMT, and RMA.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with BU teams to provide input into category strategies and seasonal ranging, identify opportunities to maximize through segmentation and exclusivity, and ensure clear differentiation of offerings to gain market share and drive business growth.
- Drive Cross-Functional Communication and Alignment: Ensure smooth and effective cross-functional communication, including sales and channels, to align seasonal strategies and assortments with both GCA and Global organizations.

- Expert understanding of China market and consumers, and commercial needs, especially from a Footwear perspective, and ability to interpret insights against strategy.
- Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Strong data analysis skills and ability to translate and articulate data results into clear business actions.
- Distinct track record of success and high-level Category Management and Merchandising knowledge from Sports Industry in Footwear.
- Strong cross-functional and stakeholder management experience across commercial functions (e.g., marketing, sales, buying, etc.) and support functions (finance preferred).
- Positive and organized work ethic, ability to organize teams and processes cross-functionally.
- Solution-oriented mindset.
- Team player with high level of integrity and attention to detail.
- 8+ years of experience in range management/product required. Regional experience preferred.
- University degree in Business or equivalent professional experience.
- Sporting goods industry experience required.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong Computer Skills including Outlook, Word, Excel (Pivot), PowerPoint, etc.
- Passion for sports and belief that through sports we have the power to change lives.
- Willingness to travel up to 20-30% of time.
