About the Role


As a Senior Immunology Researcher at Roche, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on discovering and developing new therapeutic agents for immunology-related diseases.


We are seeking an experienced Scientist / Senior Scientist to lead cross-functional discovery project teams and provide expert biology support for preclinical and clinical studies. Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to new medical hypothesis, target validation, project initiation, and research plan execution.


The ideal candidate should have a strong background in immunology, with experience in autoimmune diseases or kidney diseases. You should be proficient in designing and conducting experiments involving state-of-the-art techniques within the areas of immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and pharmacology.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Drive or support target identifications in collaboration with translational medicine, disease biology research, and chemistry teams.
  • Initiate new drug discovery projects based on scientific insight with cross-functional input.
  • Design and implement various in vitro and in vivo studies to study potency, selectivity, and molecular mechanism of drug action and efficacy.
  • Perform scientific analysis for results interpretation and present them collaboratively.
  • Develop methods or technologies for the rapid advancement of projects.
  • Prepare standard operational protocols, study reports, and high-quality manuscripts.

Requirements


To succeed in this role, you should have:



  • Deep knowledge of immunology is required.
  • Disease biology of the gut, kidneys, and connective tissues is preferred.
  • PhD with medical knowledge (MD) is a plus.
  • Post-doctoral training experience is preferred.
  • Industrial experience in drug discovery is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate efficiently with co-workers and train junior level associates.
