Your Responsibilities

As our dedicated Airfreight Sales Manager (f/m/d) in China, you will play a pivotal role in establishing, nurturing, and expanding our airfreight client base, thereby generating new business opportunities for Forto in the region while overseeing contract renewals for your existing clients. This is a unique chance to be integral in Forto's establishment within the Chinese market.

Key Duties Include:

  • Contributing significantly to Forto's growth in China
  • Acquiring new airfreight clients and expanding the existing customer portfolio
  • Managing your own client portfolio and ensuring seamless contract renewals using Forto's CRM system and related tools
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies and activities, including pipeline management, to meet budget targets
  • Collaborating closely with clients to maintain strong relationships and contribute to mutual success
  • Anticipating future client needs and enhancing our customer platform in partnership with our product and technology teams
  • Reporting market dynamics and competitor behaviors to relevant departments
  • Delivering high-quality presentations of our airfreight product range to clients
  • Crafting and presenting tailored airfreight proposals
  • Negotiating contractual terms in alignment with corporate sales policies
  • Upholding approved credit limits and enforcing payment terms
  • Fostering effective communication and collaboration with other departments
  • Influencing positive change within the organization informally

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales and account management experience in freight forwarding/logistics, with at least 2 years in airfreight; customer service experience is a plus
  • A degree in business/logistics or a completed apprenticeship in logistics
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A customer-centric approach with experience in driving airfreight business development
  • A growth mindset and experience in a fast-paced business environment; startup experience is advantageous
  • Exceptional sales abilities and the capacity to build and maintain a customer network
  • Reliability, independence, high motivation, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic team setting
