Job Summary

As a District Sales Executive at Expeditors, you will be responsible for managing an assigned territory and building relationships with customers to create value-added solutions for their logistics needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned territory and demonstrate extensive knowledge of potential customers and competitors in this area.
  • Timely data entry in our Customer Relationship Management tool.
  • Build relationships with customers and collaborate with regional teams, geographic specialists, and knowledge management resources.
  • Create network diagrams and cost-benefit solutions to meet customer logistics needs.
  • Support the transition of new accounts and ensure seamless onboarding.
  • Support accounts receivable collection and own the credit setup process for new customers.
  • Attend training and development sessions to enhance selling skills and stay up-to-date on Expeditors' products and services.
  • Participate in local trade groups as directed by the District Sales Manager.
  • Make 50 sales calls per month and required joint calls as directed by the DSM.
  • Develop 30 DNA accounts and new logo accounts as directed by the DSM.
  • Meet individual budgets and maintain a diversified sales pipeline across verticals and Expeditors' services.
  • Take on additional assignments as required to support company needs.

Requirements

  • Oral and written proficiency in the English language.
  • Strong knowledge of the trade market.
  • 2-5 years of sales experience in the required market.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work productively individually and in a team environment.
  • Sense of urgency for goal achievement.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong rapport and relationship-building skills.
  • Empowered to make quick decisions in response to changing conditions.
  • Influences others to action.
  • Timeliness and accountability for results.
