Intellectual Property Counsel

As a key member of our team at Bosch, you will play a crucial role in guiding our business units on matters related to Intellectual Property, with a strong emphasis on patent issues.
Key Responsibilities- Offer expert advice to business units regarding Intellectual Property, particularly in patent-related inquiries;
- Act as an IP consultant during contract negotiations and oversee patent licensing projects;
- Provide legal assessments on patent infringement cases, managing disputes with third parties;
- Establish strategic patent objectives for the assigned business unit;
- Conduct regular training sessions on IP matters, focusing on inventions and patents for engineering teams;
- Handle Invention Reports, and draft and prosecute patent applications, oppositions, and appeals;
- Supervise external legal counsel on patent-related issues.
- Holder of a Chinese patent agent certificate with over 5 years of experience as a patent attorney, preferably in automotive or mechanical/electronic engineering, with additional expertise in computer technology being advantageous;
- Deep understanding of Chinese patent law, along with knowledge of US and European IP regulations;
- Possess a law degree and maintain good standing with the Chinese Bar, with experience in litigation management;
- Strategically approach IP by foreseeing future business, competitive, and legal challenges, while seeking innovative solutions;
- Exhibit strong negotiation and communication skills, capable of articulating complex IP matters in business-friendly terms;
- Demonstrate high integrity and ethical standards in all professional interactions, maintaining a non-political stance while navigating internal and external dynamics;
- Possess excellent communication skills, particularly in oral negotiations and internal discussions within a multinational context;
- Quickly grasp technical and legal concepts;
- Be self-driven, proactive, and a persuasive team player;
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritizing multiple projects efficiently.
