About the role
Assists the Front Office Manager in efficiently managing the Front Office Department according to established concept statement providing a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times. This role is part of Rooms, reporting into the Front Office Manager.
What you will do
-Manages the staff at the Front Desk. Interviews, trains and schedules the staff. Conducts Performance Evaluations and disciplines staff when needed.
- Coordinates arrivals, departures and billing requirements with Sales and Catering Department. Blocks rooms for arrivals and ensures any discrepancies are resolved with Housekeeping. Reviews daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of Special Attention Guests, Return Guests, and Groups accordingly to the guest preferences and requests.
- Assures that all financial and credit procedures are followed. Follows up on credit problems with Front Office Manager and/or Credit Manager. Reviews all paid-outs, rebates, Petty Cash disbursements and Direct Billings. Checks cashiers’ work at end of shift to ensure all transactions are reconciled with proper approvals and endorsements.
What you bring
Requires knowledge or the ability to operate computer equipment including word processing and spreadsheet software.
Minimum five year of administrative experience preferably in a hospitality or restaurant related field or other equivalent experience is required.
Good knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Has strong interpersonal skills, is able to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation
Requires basic computer skills for online training
Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English and Chinese language
Has the ability to anticipate and prioritize the needs of the guest proactively
Is energetic and has a professional approach to his/her craft
