Grace is seeking a Sales Manager to join our Specialty Catalyst Sales team This role reports to Sales Director, China located at Beijing or Shanghai. This role will manage the UNIPOL® PP catalyst sales in China. Total sales revenue will be around $40M each year.
Responsibilities- Own Annual Operating Plan (AOP) objectives and drive revenue to meet or exceed forecast
- Manage distributors and channel to better serve customers and achieve Grace sales objective
- In conjunction with Marketing, develop appropriate roll-out strategies for new products, develop and implement competitive strategies
- Partner with Marketing to benchmark products, pricing and service levels of the competitors, and provide industry trends and competition information to Marketing
- Interface with Order Fulfillment, Customer Service and Logistics to ensure an exceptional customer experience
- Further use and develop Grace sales tools such as Salesforce, account planning, value selling, etc.
- Bachelor degree or above in chemical engineering, chemistry, engineering or related field, Master or MBA is preferred
- 10+ years of progressive sales experience in manufacturing industry; chemical industry a plus
- Proven sales methodology and process skills for complex sales situations
- Skilled in building customer relationships and incorporating “the voice of the customer” into sales
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Results oriented
- Strong problem solving and analysis skills
- Able to speak and write fluently in English and Mandarin
- Able to travel frequently
- Experience in utilizing sales automation tools such as Salesforce
- Solid knowledge of and experience in formal sales training (i.e. Sandler Sales Approach, Customer-Centric Selling, Strategic Selling, and/or Value Selling)
- A strong leader and motivator with high energy and drive, accompanied by clear, purposeful and frequent communications with internal and customers
- A persuasive and constructive team player, able to build consensus
- Committed to learning and personal growth
